Jenny Rozint’s journey demonstrates how personal experience and leadership in education can shape a broader, impactful mission.

With over a decade of experience in alternative education and as a parent navigating the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Jenny is dedicated to making a difference in schools through Alma’s innovative solutions. Now, as part of Alma’s team, she uses her personal and professional experiences to help educators and schools succeed.

Here’s an inside look at Jenny’s journey and how she is shaping the future of education:

A personal connection to education

Jenny’s path to Alma is deeply rooted in her experiences as both an educator and a parent. “For over a decade, I led alternative school campuses, where the goal was always to create environments where students felt seen, heard, and understood – especially those who didn’t fit the traditional educational mold,” she says.

However, her perspective shifted significantly during the pandemic. “My daughter, bright and creative, struggled in a traditional school system that wasn’t built to meet her needs. Seeing her struggle hit me hard,” Jenny explains. It made everything she was doing as an educator feel more personal and urgent. Jenny saw firsthand how even students with strong support systems could lose their way when the system didn’t adapt to their unique needs. This experience strengthened her resolve to seek out and deliver better tools for educators, students, and families.

A decade of building solutions

Throughout her leadership career, Jenny’s focus was always on creating real impact. She led high-performing campuses, coached administrative teams, and developed programs that helped students carve personalized paths to success. “Whether I was guiding families through challenges or designing strategies to improve enrollment and outcomes, my mission stayed the same: make every student feel valued and provide the tools they need to move forward with confidence,” she says.

However, no matter how passionate her teams were, Jenny kept encountering the same obstacle: outdated systems. “I kept running into friction, complexity, and burnout caused by old systems that simply weren’t working,” she says. That realization motivated her to find a better solution – something more innovative and adaptable for the needs of schools, educators, and families.

The shift to Alma

Jenny’s move to Alma was less about leaving education and more about expanding how she could support it. “At Alma, I found a way to scale the kind of impact I’ve always cared about,” she says. Alma helps remove the daily friction that slows educators down, providing clarity for leaders and giving teachers the time they need to focus on what matters most.

The transition from campus leadership to EdTech felt like a natural step for Jenny. “The values that drove my work as a school leader – people first, solutions that work, and a deep belief that every student can succeed when they’re supported and given the right tools – are the same values that drive me at Alma.”

Driving impact at scale

In her role at Alma, Jenny works closely with schools and districts to understand their unique challenges and show them how Alma can make a difference. “District leaders are under immense pressure right now … tight budgets, staff burnout, rising student needs. They don’t need another system to manage; they need a better one,” she says.

One of the most rewarding parts of her job is demonstrating how Alma allows educators to achieve both efficiency and empathy. “With Alma, educators don’t have to choose between smooth systems and strong relationships,” she explains. “When these two things work together, students thrive.”

My advice to educators and leaders

Jenny’s advice to educators and administrators who are considering Alma is clear: “You’re not underperforming—you’re under-supported. The pressure schools are facing right now is real. Alma gives school leaders the leverage to do more with less friction, more clarity, and better outcomes for students, staff, and families.”
